I competed in my first triathlon. It was a woman's only geared for first timers. It was a 400 yard swim, 11 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.

Jason and I went mountain biking while in SC.

Now as many of you know, I'm a beginner. I just started this year and have only been out a couple of times. I knew SC would be hilly, but you should have seen some of the trails Jason wanted to take me on.

He actually asked if I wanted to go down this!

He rode down a bit; I walked to see what it was really like.

This is the sign I saw. Hell NO, I'm not going down that!!!

This is another "DANGER" sign we encountered. And for good reason.

This water crossing isn't deep, but it had such a strong current that it took me a long time to get through it. It was incredibly slippery and treacherous.

Even though the trails were hard, and at times I thought Jason was trying to kill me, we did enjoy ourselves. They had several beautiful waterfalls.

As usual, we had a fantastic time in South Carolina visiting GM and GP.

We love the new "beach club". We spent a lot of time in the pool. Gavin loved going down the slides, whereas Miles wanted nothing to do with them.

We had a good time on the boat. Miles became GP's little co-captain, which I think he was really proud of.

Jason and Miles went tubing together. Unfortunately, Gavin didn't get to go. The material that held the tube together began to rip while they were on it. Miles said, "It's Mommy and Gavin's turn now!" in his slightly hysterical voice. Thanks Miles. I really appreciate that you'd like Gavin and I to jump on the broken tube.

GM and GP took us on a hike to see a beautiful waterfall.

Over the 4th of July, we went to Frankfort, Michigan. We had a great time.

They have a fabulous parade that goes right through town. Jalie, Miles, Tanner, Gavin, and Audra are waiting for the parade to begin.

We spent lots of time on the beach.

And of course, saw fireworks. They were spectacular!
