We camped out in the backyard. We had such a good time. The weather was perfect, no bugs or dirt in the tent, very little mosquitoes since I had sprayed the lawn, and very little set up and clean up since it was in our yard.

Miles helped Jason put up the tent. I wasn't sure if they would stay in the tent all night, but both boys (and dogs) stayed inside all night long.

Here's the boys trying to roast marshmallows over our new fire pit table.

Yum...Smores

The boys played in their pjs until midnight. They played with little flashlights on their playsets. We were not going to get them to sleep anytime sooner because our crazy neighbors next door decided to chop up the huge limbs that had fallen down in a recent storm. They had a giant spotlight shining directly on our tent. Can't wait to plant those dozen arborvitaes.
Miles has raced in three mountain bike races this summer. He really enjoys it. He is so proud of himself for racing "fast". It's too cute.

We have to help him along. The trails are sometimes pretty rough, and he still rides with training wheels.

And they always give medals out to the participants. Miles has more medals than me!

Jason has competed in several races this summer. He's pretty good. He took 4th at a recent race.

I even raced once this year. I took 3rd place. Of course, it was only out of three in my age group (beginner women 19 and up). So, I guess I really placed last. LOL
My parents were nice enough to watch the boys for an entire week so that I could paint their rooms.

Gavin got Miles' race car bed which he likes a lot.

This is the dresser in Gavin's room that I sanded down and painted. It was a lot of work!

Sadie has found a new bed herself. She sleeps in this chair in Gavin's room.

This is Miles' new dinosaur room. He got a new big bed.

Jason and I had fun putting all the dinosaur decals around the room. Miles loves it!
