Trick-or-Treat

Here's Miles patiently waiting in his Lightening McQueen costume to go trick-or-treating. Notice the dogs in the background with their costumes. Max was a king, and Sadie was a queen. We all went out together. The dogs were a big hit around the neighborhood.

Carving Pumpkins

We thought we'd have a fun family night of carving pumpkins. Miles, on the other hand, decided that he didn't want to participate. He played with his cars instead while Jason and I carved his pumpkin.

I thought they all turned out great. Jason, the self appointed pumpkin judge, has yet to come up with a decision on the winner. So what do you think?

Jason's (typical jack-o-latern)

Julie's (2 ghosts looking through a window)

Miles' (designed by me, carved by Jason)

Miles' Birthday Party

Miles was thrilled to have a birthday party, mostly because he knew there would be a Lightening McQueen cake.

Here he is blowing out his candles.

We had 6 of his little friends over for the party. I think everything he got had to do with cars in some way. But, hey that's how he rolls...

Miles Turns 3

Can you believe Miles is now 3?

For his birthday, we decorated his new room with a car theme. We spent a couple of months painting and decorating it without him knowing. He was surprised to see his new room. He of course loves his new race car bed.

Whenever anyone asked Miles about his upcoming birthday, he would immediately talk about getting a cake for his birthday. So even though he was having a party the following Saturday, we still had to get him a cake for his birthday. He won't eat much, but cake is devoured quickly.

He received lots of gifts from his family. Mostly, the birthday gifts had something to do with Disney Cars Lightening McQueen, which was fitting since that is his newest obsession.
