Strawberry Picking

The boys and I went strawberry picking. I told Miles to eat the small berries and save the large ones. He did a good job - several large berries. Gavin, on the other hand, had lots of strawberry tops in his box. He was a juicy mess!

We've made 2 pies, popsicles, jam, and froze some. Not to mention all the ones we ate fresh. I've had my fill of strawberries for a while.

Miles playing T-ball

Miles is playing t-ball with other kindergartners and 1st graders that will be going to his school next year. If you ask him if he likes it, he'll most likely say no. But, he doesn't complain too much so I figure he doesn't dislike it THAT much.

Here's Miles in the outfield. Compared to many other kids, he does pretty well. That is, he keeps his glove on his hand, he stands in the same spot without running around, and most of the time is at least facing the correct way. Of course, in t-ball the only kids that get any action is the pitcher and 1st base. He played 1st the other day. He did pretty well and was excited to get to "play".

Here's Miles hitting the ball. I really need to get him to do some pushups. Those bats are heavy for his little stick arms.

Here's Miles on 1st base. After 2 weeks of playing, he can now successfully find 2nd base. LOL I think running the bases is his favorite part, especially when he gets to third because that's where I am! I've been the 3rd base coach while Jason entertains Gavin.

Miles Playing Soccer

We signed Miles up for soccer. He was NOT happy about it at first, but he now seems to like it.

Preschool Pictures of Miles

Miles and his friend, Hayden, doing some work. I thought this was a cute picture. It's not very often that I see him with a crayon in his hand.

Now this is the Miles I know...playing with cars.

Check out Miles' facial expressions in this picture and the one below. What a character!

Miles' Field Day

It was a super hot day, so field day was moved indoors. Jason went to help out. He was in charge of bowling. It pays to befriend a photographer. I got some great photos of the day from her.

I'm not sure why he was on the ground after bowling...

Miles is playing a game with his friends, Lazar and Michael.

Steady...

Miles' First Field Trip

Miles went to Maybury Farm for his first field trip. (It would have been his second, but he missed the first one because Gavin was sick.)We took a hayride around the farm.

Miles isn't so into farm animals. He's actually quite terrified of them for some reason. He did allow himself to get close to the newborn goat. This was the closest he got to any animal. LOL

Miles and Lazar

Miles met a new friend, Lazar, during preschool this year. The first week of school, he kept telling us "Lazar is so crazy!" accenting the word crazy in a funny way. I was a bit leery of him at first with that kind of description, but soon found out that he's a really sweet kid. They've become great friends. It's too bad they won't be in school together next year.
