The Drumstick Dash
Jamie and Steven ran with Jason and I Thanksgiving morning in a race called The Drumstick Dash. It was a 4.5 mile course through Broad Ripple. Jamie and Steven did an excellent job, especially considering this was their first race.

Dad's helper
Sorry, no picture for this one, but I had to let everyone know that Miles is finally starting to pull his weight around the house ;-). I was in the basement running some ethernet cable through a wall into the family room. I was having a heck of a time snaking the cables... stick an unbent hangar into the hole, run down to the basement and try to find it. Nope. Run back upstairs and move it an inch to the right. Run back downstairs and try to find it. Nope. Repeat about 1000 times.
Miles was trying to keep up with me going up and down the first few times, but then he finally just gave up and started yelling at me and laughing from the other side of the wall. I yelled back to him and he thought that was pretty funny. Then I started thinking: why can't he save me a little energy? I said "Miles, can you please move that wire around like daddy was doing?" He says, "Oh, yeah." 5 seconds later I had the cable in my hand. Awesome.

Boys day out...
Shhh. Don't tell Julie. While she was out at an all day scrapbooking extravaganza, I took Miles to the Automotive Heritage Museum in Ypsi (about a 15 minute drive from our house). They have all sorts of vintage cars there, the pièce de résistance being the original Hudson Hornet, who appears as "Doc Hudson" in Miles favorite movie, _Cars_. I knew that he was there, what I didn't know was they even put Doc's eyes on him. Check it out:
The curator said the Pixar folks talked to the owner of this car a lot while making the movie. They have a lot of other vehicles there, like a mint condition GTO, a couple Corvairs, 40's era Jags, a Bentley, a Rolls... Wow! By looking at the place, you'd never expect there are so many rare cars in really great shape in there. Plus, it's only 3 bucks admission, kids are free. Nice way to spend an hour or so, if you're in the area. Miles was interested in the rest of the collection, but we had to go visit Doc at regular intervals during our visit. Afterward we went across the street and shared a magnificent sandwich at Cafe Luwak.
