New Year's Eve

We celebrated New Year's Eve with GM, GP, Brad, and Emily in South Carolina. The boys had a ball with the party hats and noise makers.

For some reason, Gavin tried to stack as many hats as he could

Oh no! It's Professor Z!

Having fun with the Family in SC

It's great to get outdoors in December in South Carolina. We all took a hike to a beautiful waterfall. Jason and I rode our bikes back home, 16 miles I believe. That's 16 very hilly miles, in the rain, with Jason blowing a tire. That's one ride I will probably always remember.

Christmas in South Carolina

We went to South Carolina between Christmas in Indiana and New Years. We had a great trip seeing family and eating delicious food.

Grandma and Grandpa Weida made the boys blankets, which they love.

Christmas with the Foddrill's

We spent the following day with my family. As usual, lots of presents and noise.

Christmas with Grandma Susie

We spent the day with Grandma Susie, Nana, Aunt Cindy and her boys

Gavin passing out presents

Yikes! That's one BIG gun and one MEAN face!

Gavin got a gun for Christmas too. Grandma Susie figured he needs to be able to defend himself.

Popcorn is a perfect gift for my boys

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas. Miles got a DS and a Playmobile swimming pool from Santa. Gavin got an Easel and a Max Schnell car from Santa. Jason got a bike computer, and I got cycling shoes and snow boots.

Here's Miles coming down the stairs, seeing all the presents for the first time. Gavin looks like he's still asleep.

Now he's awake

Miles must like his Angry Birds shirt since he's hugging it.

Santa

We went to see Santa in Plymouth. This guy is the same guy we go to every year because we like the fact that a. it's free b. they let you take your own pictures c. he takes his time with your kids. Of course, the downside of "taking time with your kids" is that it takes a long time waiting outside in line. But, that didn't seem to bother the kids this year.

This was the first year that Miles sat on Santa's lap. He got right to the point too. He didn't care to make small talk or answer Santa's questions. He just wanted to state what he wanted for Christmas - DS, Playmobile pool, and Nigel Gearsley from Cars 2.

Gavin very quietly said that he wanted an easel and Max Schnell from Cars 2.

Unfortunately, even with our new fancy camera, this was the best picture we got. We have a problem getting Gavin with his eyes open. He now has this goofy grin where his eyes are slits, so half the time they look closed.

Frankenmuth

I apologize for being so far behind. I'm so happy to have gotten a new camera. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble figuring out how to use the editing software that came with it. Ugh!

Anyway, we took a trip to Frankenmuth in November. We stayed at the Bavarian Inn where they had 5 pools, minature golf, and an arcade inside the hotel. The boys had a lot of fun, as did Jason and I.

Boys love water guns!

Here's the arcade where Miles is playing Whack a Mole.

One afternoon, we learned how to make pretzels. This is after all, "Little Bavaria".

This was our favorite outing, the carriage ride. Since it was Christmas time, there were lots of houses with lights. It was a beautiful evening. Miles was very nervous about doing it at first, but it was his favorite thing to do by the end.
