Happy Holidays!
We came back to Indiana for Christmas. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay long. We had to go back home to Michigan on the 26th.

We celebrated Christmas with my family in the morning. Unfortunately, Miles wasn't feeling so well. When we got back home to Michigan I found out that he had bronchitis and two ear infections.

We celebrated Christmas with Jason's family that evening at his grandparents' house. I think Miles has enough toys now.

We've Moved!
The movers came Dec. 22. It only took them about 4 hours to drop off our belongings. It would take us a couple weeks to sort through it all...

Luckily, Miles has his own tray on his high chair. I don't think we could have squeezed in one more place setting at the table. The kitchen was a mess.

The basement was packed. We kept telling the movers to put things in the basement. Before long, what was suppose to be our playroom/hobby room, was full of crap!

The garage was even worse.

Miles did what he could. Here he is helping his dad hook up the tv.

8 more days...
We have 8 more days in this apartment. I can't wait to move out! Today, Miles figured out that he could move the chair that I put in the hall to keep him out of the kitchen. Have I already mentioned that he's getting into everything?!
He's allowed to play in all of the kitchen cabinets except for the ones under the sink. He usually enjoys throwing all my Tupperware around and banging on pots and pans. I can live with that, for now, until we have our Miles proofed house. But here recently, Miles wants to get into places he shouldn't be. Some places I would have never expected...
I was shocked to see him sitting in the dishwasher. No, not the safest place for a baby. (I really did have the dishwasher door closed.) When I found him, he was sitting there chewing on a Tupperware lid.
I hope these next 8 days fly by.

Walk and roll!
1...
2....
3! Miles began walking this week! He took a few steps on his own while Mimi and Pawpaw were here, and today, he can't help but try walking everywhere he used to crawl. He's been stumbling his way all around our apartment, and it's been a lot of fun seeing him put it together. He get's so excited and screams as he's taking his steps. He can go pretty far too, back and forth across our living room. A whole new world is opened up for him (and mom and dad).

Playing in the Kitchen

Miles and I can get pretty bored in the apartment. We have to find things to do to keep us busy since we don't have all of our belongings. He likes to play in the kitchen cupboards, mostly taking out all of the Tupperware containers.

Sometimes, he needs a closer look to see what's inside...
If anyone needs a gift idea, he likes Tupperware! :)

Learning to Walk
Call us stupid, but we are trying to teach Miles to walk on his own. Yesterday, he walked with dad by holding on to only one hand. Miles gets a kick out of walking with dad. He giggles and giggles.
Yesterday, Miles took 4 steps without assistance! It won't be long now...until we're kicking ourselves in the arse for encouraging this. :)

Christmas Time in the Apartment
Jason surprised me by bringing our little Christmas tree to the apartment. Isn't he sweet?
Miles enjoys looking at the lights. Luckily, we have a place in the window sill for it. Miles is at the stage where he is getting into everything! It's especially bad living here because nothing is Miles proofed.
We went to see Santa the other day. Miles didn't care much for the looks of him. He stared at Santa's beard with a disgusted look on his face. (Craig, you know the look :))
