Christmas Morning

Both boys slept in until 9. It was awesome! Merry Christmas to me and Jason!

The boys first played with the presents Santa brought. (We don't wrap any of those.) Then after breakfast, we opened up the presents from each other. We had a nice relaxing day. Miles got a keyboard and some cars. Gavin got a musical table. Jason got running shoes. And I got running clothes. Here's Gavin with his new toy.

This is Gavin doing what he'd prefer - crawling over the boxes.

Here's Miles with his new cars and trucks.

And here are the boys playing with toys. No, our house isn't freezing. But baldy there has to wear his new sock hat inside or he gets cold.

Christmas Eve

Here are the boys putting out cookies and milk for Santa. Miles was so excited! For the month of December, Miles opened one book a night until Christmas. Most of the books we owned, although I did have to buy a few. It was fantastic. He stopped asking us when Christmas was because he could see how many books were left.

Visiting Santa

We took the boys to see Santa. For the first time, Miles was not scared of him. I think he realized that this is the guy that's going to be bringing him presents. He did not want to sit on his lap, but he was quite talkative. Gavin couldn't care less.

Gavin - 9 Months

Gavin weighs 17 lbs, 8.1 oz. He is 27 1/2 inches long. At this age, Miles weighed 17 lbs, 10 oz and was 28 3/4 inches long. So although Miles and Gavin weighed the same amount at this age, Gavin is a bit shorter. He has short little legs. Click here to compare pics with Miles at this age.

Gavin is crawling now, and he can even pull himself to standing. He's talking a lot (gibberish of course). And he is eating solid foods. He likes to eat!

(You may have noticed that the #9 is backwards on his hat. Did I mention that he doesn't sleep through the night yet? I'm blaming my lack of sleep for this. If it's not that than I'm just an idiot. :)

Gavin Eating Solid Foods

This month we began giving Gavin solid foods that he can feed himself. He wasn't so sure about them at first, but now he's diggin' it.

What a mess!
