I HATE BIRDS!

Do you see the little b*st*rd?! Look at the top of the picture. This male robin has been pecking at our windows for several days now. He, or one of his moronic cousins, was here last year too for about 2 weeks. Last year I tried placing a picture of an owl in the window having read that it would deter him. But no such luck.
So now that spring is here and the mating season is upon us, he sees a bird in our house (it's you you idiot!) he has to attack. He pecks at our windows non-stop! No kidding! He must manage to have a food break once in a while because there is a ton of poop on our deck, not to mention our table and chairs. It has gotten so bad that Miles is terrified of him. Seriously, he is scared! Miles doesn't want to go near the bird, which is mostly at the windows on the MAIN level. For those of you who haven't been here, we live in a quad. We have an upstairs, main level, downstairs, and a basement. I was already upset with this bird ruining my otherwise peaceful routine with Miles, but now the bird is pecking at the downstairs too! Not only that, but I hear Miles screaming in terror (when he should be napping) that the bird is at his window too! There is no way I'm going to let this pesky bird make me spend the rest of the spring in the basement. Luckily, I have an intelligent husband that cares about my sanity.
To help, Jason has downloaded a recording of a robin shouting a distress warning and a hawk in attack mode. We play the recording on the outdoor speakers to deter him. It works for the time that it is actually playing, but the moment it's off the little F***** is back. (Sorry mom, I hate this bird.)
So that is my saga of the bird that I despise, and my hope for a very short life span. (Which I did try to shorten by leaving rice out there. Isn't that why we don't throw rice at weddings anymore? Don't tell the DNR. Apparently this bird is our state bird. Go figure...)

I'm a Kentuckian .... a little birdseed with some tasty poison sounds like an appropriate last meal!
